As a small business owner, husband, father and active community volunteer, I share many of your same expectations from our local government: keep taxes low, use basic common sense & prudent fiscal management in decision-making and generally make sure core services are delivered to residents as agreed.
Since moving to Smyrna, Cindy and I have been happily working on growing our family businesses while enjoying nurturing our two young sons, Hunter (8) & Walker (7). We bought property in Smyrna twelve years ago and we liked the area so much, we bought a home in the Vinings Estates community to raise our boys. With her long history and family here, Cindy insisted we live in Cobb County. It was an easy choice!
We are both involved in our community in a number of ways: Cindy enjoys serving as an appointee to the Cobb Commission & Youth, supporting programs for at-risk youth in Cobb, as well as working here locally in Ward 7 at Whitefield Academy. We are members of Cindy's home church, First United Methodist of Marietta, where her parents are long-time members, also.
I previously served 4 years as President of our HOA, the Vinings Estates Community Association, with 955 homes just off Cooper Lake and Pebblebrook Roads. We have a great neighborhood, dedicated residents and volunteers who work to make improvements to our community. We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful place and we are proud to call Smyrna home.
Roughly half of the residents in south Smyrna are new to their neighborhoods over the past twenty years. As one who has chosen to live in Smyrna, I feel compelled to remain involved in my community, to assure we continue in the right direction. Thus, I am willing to continue to offer my skills, relationships and leadership experience to help guide Smyrna for four more years.
Like many of my neighbors, our lives are busy, interesting and fulfilling. I am always ready to work for the betterment of my community, and you can rest assured I will work hard on your behalf in Ward 7.
I humbly ask you for your vote again on November 3rd!
